Visit Nice: a vibrant city with a charming old quarter built in the Italian baroque style. Through the ages Nice has attracted emperors and queens (from Augustus and Valerian to Queen Victoria), but also artists and musicians. Your tour will cover the main monuments, including the Promenade des Anglais, Hotel Negresco, the flower market, the fountain, Cimiez hill, the opera house and Chateau Park, interspersed with photo stops. Time permitting you can also visit the Matisse, the Chagall, or the Modern Art Museum. You can even visit the Russian Orthodox Church, or simply go shopping and antique hunting.

If you’d like to see more of the French Riviera, why not take a trip to Cannes? Famous for its film festival, Cannes is a small, charming, sea-side city. Only 20 minutes from Nice, follow the footsteps of the rich and famous by visiting the Carlton, the Majestic Barrière and the Martinez hotels. Then stop for a photo at the Palais des Congrès, home of the red carpet during the Cannes film festival in May.

Drive to Monaco along the high ridge (Corniche) road with its breath-taking views over the Mediterranean Sea. Monaco is a small, rich, city state, with elegant architecture, plush shops and hotels. It is the playground of the rich, famous and infamous. If you wish you can stop at its well-known Casino, built by Charles Garnier. The Casino is open 24 hours a day so you can try your luck any time of the day or night! Discover the heritage of this city state by visiting the Prince’s Palace and/or the Cathedral if you have time.

Reflections of boats in a harbor along the French Riviera

Combine these two half day tours above and spend the day discovering the beauty of the French Riviera. We can reserve a table for lunch in a fine restaurant with a sea-side view. This is a great way to learn more about the culture and history of the Côte d’Azur if you’re only staying in the region for a short while.

If you have time, on your way back from Monte Carlo, you can stop at the old perfume factory in Eze, a lovely village high on the ridge road. You will see why France is famous for its perfumes.

This tour of four famous resort towns will reveal why the Côte d’Azur is so popular. You will drive along the coast in your comfortable luxury car, first through the chic little town of Antibes, mainly a residential town for very rich people.

Follow the footsteps of the rich and famous; even stop for a photo at the Palais des Congrès, home of the red carpet during the Cannes film festival.

Then on to St. Maxime, this old town has lovely pedestrian streets, pretty gardens and a jetty with a fine view over the Gulf of St. Tropez.

Finally you will arrive in St. Tropez! This little fishing village, made famous by Brigitte Bardot in the 1950s, has now become a haven to the stars in the summer months. Wander around its winding little streets and mingle with the jet set, you are sure to find an array of yachts from all over the world anchored side by side with fishing boats.

After admiring the luxurious yachts and perhaps even a quick dip in the sea, you will return to Nice by the fast highway, avoiding the evening traffic of the sea road.

This tour is available from June to September, on most week days. Please check availability.

Your chauffeur will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the closest port (Cannes or Nice). You will embark on a small cruise ship for a day trip along the French Riviera.

You can choose to sail east towards Monaco (and visit the Prince’s palace, Casino, Oceanographic museum, Cathedral etc.) or west towards St. Tropez (and visit the Provençal market, the Citadel, the Annonciade etc.).

After an exhilarating boat ride of approximately 2 hours, you will arrive at your chosen city. You will then have plenty of free time to explore the city on your own and have lunch. If you let us know in advance, we can make reservations in a restaurant of your choice.

At 4:30 PM, you will sail back to your departure port of Cannes or Nice, where your chauffeur will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel.

Discover the Alps only twenty minutes outside of Nice. Firstly, you will explore the lovely “eagle’s nest village” of Saint Paul de Vence. Enjoy walking in the small streets of this fortress town and visiting its many art galleries.

Your next stop will be another small “eagle’s nest village”: Tourrettes-sur-Loup, “the city of violets”, with its many arts and crafts shops.

You will then drive along the Loup Valley River arriving in Gourdon, a mountain top feudal village. Visit the famous castle and garden designed by Le Notre, who also designed the gardens at Versailles.

Return to Nice by 5 PM, enjoying the lovely countryside on the way.

Aix-en-Provence, situated two hours from Nice, is a charming university and market town. Your friendly and informative guide will help you to discover the lively city centre including the Cours Mirabeau, the Mazarin neighbourhood and the Old Town. The markets, overflowing with fresh fruits and flowers, make a colourful backdrop for photos.

Learn more about Cézanne, Aix’s famous Impressionist painter. Discover his childhood home and the school he attended with friend Émile Zola. You can also visit his art studio, then round the day off with a trip to Mont Sainte Victoire, which Cézanne painted repeatedly.

Following an early morning start you will be driven deep into the Provincial countryside, passing through the charming city of Arles, where Van Gogh painted “Starry Night” and “Night Café”. Continue through old Roman Gaul: in Nimes your guide will show you one of the best preserved Roman temples and amphitheatres in the world. Then visit Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct built nearly 2000 years ago. This architectural marvel never ceases to amaze visitors

The final destination of your tour is the medieval city of Avignon, once home to the Papal seat and the heart of Christian Europe. You will stroll through the charming streets and squares and visit the Palace of the Popes

From Nice you will drive in style to Monaco in about 35 minutes. Experience the breath-taking views over the Mediterranean Sea whilst driving along the high Corniche road. On the way you can stop and visit the famous perfume factory in Eze.

Monaco is a small, rich, city state, with elegant architecture, plush shops and hotels. If you wish you can stop at its well-known Casino, open 24 hours a day so you can try your luck any time of the day or night! Or just play it safe and have a fine lunch by the seaside. Discover the heritage of this city state by visiting the Prince’s Palace and/or the Cathedral if you have time.

From Monaco, it is a short 20 minute drive to Italy. After driving along the Costa dei fiori, the Coast of Flowers, you will arrive in the bustling Italian city of Vintimiglia. Enjoy an authentic Italian ice cream and walk through the flea market, famous for its handbags, perfumes and clothes, amongst other things.

When returning to your hotel, enjoy the scenic route and stop for a beer or a tea in Menton, a pleasant little town famous for its flowers, tropical plants and a baroque church.

Please make sure to take your passport, just in case there is a spot check at the border.

Discover Monte Carlo at night. If you wish, we can reserve a table for you in a chic restaurant (for example, Joël Robuchon, 2 stars in the Michelin Guide). After dinner, stroll past the Rolls Royces, Jaguars and Lamborghinis to the Casino, and try to break the bank. If you are not the gambling type then enjoy a drink in the Casino, with its James Bond atmosphere, chic and upper crust. As your chauffeur will bring you home safely, you can enjoy the Champagne to slight excess.

Dress code: jacket and tie obligatory for gentlemen, women as elegant as possible.

With dinner: 8pm – 1 am.
